I was never, ever, ever going to make soap. Summer after summer inside my lil’ shoppe on Put-in-Bay, visitors would come in and ask if I was the one who made the bars of soap in our shoppe. My answer for two summers, “Oh, I don’t have time for that. I’ll never, ever make soap. Christie, the creator and founder of OntkOrganix, grew up in Lake Erie, that at one time, was considered toxic and highly polluted.
